Lohe Treasure

This building is also where five workers found Loheskatten, Sweden’s largest silver treasure, on an October day in 1937.

The find contained 18,000 silver coins and several silver objects that had been buried here in the 18th century. The treasure is now on display at the Royal Coin Cabinet, just a few blocks away. The total value of the Lohe Treasure is estimated at more than SEK 100 million.
